I watched this yesterday, as well as the third one. Although I like the third LBT a lot, none of the sequels are gonna be nearly as good as the original. The script writers today don't have the guts to make anything too dark or perilous. This must be practically R to them, heh. Anyway.....this scene gives me the chills every time. It's so intense and dramatic. I am in awe of Littlefoot's mom, and also of how Sharptooth can jump. o_0

I actually thought they were far more compatible than not but in a sort of Yin and Yang way. (Perhaps complimentary is a better word) I think the best way Grammer could have said good bye to this character and the show was to have him come full circle with Lilith and realize that for all of their bickering, the were alot more alike than they each realized.

Another thing--I loved all the kids in this movie. Even Ducky and Spike, who I intensely dislike now. The kids were just so much more likeable in the original. I loved Littlefoot and Petrie the most. The sequels made them all too kiddie and preachy. And they made Petrie so stupid. Now Hyp, Ali and Chomper are definitely my favorite kids in LBT. My top 5 are Grandpa, Littlefoot's mom, Rinkus, a tie between Sierra and the rainbowfaces, and Grandma.

This is one of the most epic villain death scenes I've ever seen. And for some reason, these days someone could re-make the exact same scene and it wouldn't feel as good. I've always loved LBT, but when I was younger I actually liked the second and third movies more than the original (couldn't get my hands on the fourth). Some of the LBT fans have made theories that Red Claw is a relative to the original Sharptooth or he IS Sharptooth. To me, the evidence doesn't match up. They both have different skin tones and their scars are on opposite sides. Plus, Red Claw is a total wimp. He is supposedly the biggest and meanest sharptooth of all, according to Chomper. But for God's sake in one episode Red Claw gets beat by having FRUIT thrown at him. Sharptooth will always be the best, no matter what.

Sharptooth would only open his right eye when he was angered to the point of madness. He's blind in his right eye because early on Littlefoot accidently made a thorned vine slam into his eye. Red Claw is the main villain from the LBT animated series, he is a sharptooth who is responsible for seperating Chomper from his parents.
