I was out of order. A very ad hominem attack which you probably didn't deserve. It was crude and I apologize for that. I have been overweight in my time and have also (later) run marathons and triathlons... so, I've been on both sides of that line. My problem is with people in authority even remotely suggesting that beating a child with a belt is a legitimate form of discipline. I don't think it is a good lesson to present to an audience. Personally I find it upsetting.

Some ridiculous fat man who is so obese he clearly has no self discipline, telling his audience how about disciplining children, calling beating with a belt "correction". Go f***ing get some control over your big fat lard ass before you start trying to tell people that belting their own children constitutes loving correction and discipline. I swear in today's society, many people don't understand that you have to let your child know that parents only spank them because they love them. They see it as punishment, not discipline to teach. If not really explained to well, all the child's gonna think is, "Holy crap, Dad's home again..." The part about the "switching places" was pretty funny. I was thinking more of, "Yeah, well, not in the same place..."

I personally do try to avoid these kind of churches, believe me. But if you're invited by a friend it's awkward to say "sorry but I hate it when people start jumping round and yelling"...you kind of think "maybe this one will be different" but it never is. I'm sure there are indeed pentecostal churches that don't behave so strangely but it seems few and far between.

Yeah, but like a horror movie- if you know it's not real- you should be able to seperate yourself from a reaction. Also, like a horror movie- the choice to expose or not expose yourself to it is within your own grasp. If horror movies scare you, don't watch them. If tongues freak you out- avoid those churches. It seems like you've been exposed to some Crazy Charismatic stuff- there are Pentecostal churches where everything is done quite orderly and without loud and strange outbursts.

Actually scriptures say that tongues will cease when "that which is perfect has come". Was it referring to Christ, nope- tongues came after Him. Was it referring to scriptures- couldn't be because we still have Prophecy (which is simply preaching)- is it referring to the church- oh common man, your not that stupid. The visuals and the costume design were great, but the acting? I disagree, I could hardly understand a word or feel moved by the plot cause the singing was constant leaving out any key element of a film like dialog ruins the entire film, although it may have been better as a silent movie.
