Great way of looking at life: If there's no god, it didn't matter. Life is only worth it if there is heaven and hell? Atheists will die knowing they lived life fully. Theists will die waiting for something that may or (most probably) may not come. And the sad part is that they might never know if they threw their life away adoring imaginary beings, while atheists might have a nice surprise in afterlife if they are wrong. Proof of somethings existence is NOT necessarily what atheism asks for, but is rather a denial that such a thing, whether truly existing or not, is worthy of our consideration after having put it to the question. Massive efforts to the contrary have left me diagnosed bipolar with a 'constellation of disorders' - 'difficult to medicate' and often suicidal; despite considering myself a good person. Ultimately, it's the victim's responsibility to recover and become The Warrior--tough, intelligent, capable, mentally/physically strong, and not addled with neuroses stemming from the offending crimes. I used to daydream about offing dear old mom all the time (and I didn't know why)-back as early as 7 years old, lol!! (at 9, I put the barrel of a .22 in my mouth and tried to pull the trigger, but it wouldn't fire) I would have been doing us all a favor, and I would have been granted amnesty as per the horrid conditions/poverty/and abuse. It stands as the one big disappointment in my life. Ah well, live and learn! Today life's good and I'm glad to have it, but it took a little work to get here.

Oops - My mom was 'the prison warden' parent (vs absent). Never had a family gathering (no one would come). My grandmother was also poster child for christianity. I later realized this had to be her pentence for allowing (I assume) her hubby to sexually abuse my mom. Something horrid and twisted had to transpire to warp -her- mind to the required level to assail the abuse and torture she became (nearly) famous for.
