That's pretty simple to explain actually. Red Frame Astray has power issues normally, and can't use its beam saber for long. Gold Frame Amatu has the ability to absorb power from a mobile suit. That is what it was doing to Red Frame when it grabbed it from behind. Lowe didn't have the energy left to keep the beam saber active.

I have this game. I love it. It is hard to find if you want it. I'll keep it to play it again. 2xtremedeath with the right timing you can beat the game. Get use to the control. Time your punches, kick, etc... I had a hard time on one level but with timing I beat it.

The honest truth? I like Viletta as a pilot better, and she's the "canon" pilot. I think Mai is technically more effective, but I found her more useful in another unit and letting Viletta provide the SP for HTB Cannon. When I 100% the game and saw NiGHTS die, I thought it was because they didn't wanna make another NiGHTS sequel, but when I saw the ending It seemed to hint at a ssequel.

Really, an insanely powerful attack from this little Walker Machine. 7,500 fully upgraded, which is on-par if not better then some of the strongest Super Robots. The only real limitation is that it has one shot, and compared to the poor Gundam X, that's nothing at all.
