You know all the mods I had to this car: headers & cat back exhaust, 180 T Stat, HV Throttle Body, HV3 Gasket, Flipped Motor mounts, K&N Intake, reprogrammed PCM(which was really pointless) all this and I never ever tuned it to the new mods!!! WHY?? IDK!! Lesson learned: You will never see the FULL potential of your mods, until you tune it AFTERWARDS!! If I did, lets just say I would have given some superchargers raised eyebrows! ;)

Alot people thought that they were supercharged but they weren't. They made a couple of JG editions in 2004 & they were all supercharged! For supercharging or turbo, you still have to change the heads on a N/A 3.8! check out what did on my "more info" also a tune will wake the beast up. I installed the HV3 gasket in my upper intake and you can definately feel a difference in the mid to upper RPM's! Check out ZZperformance. They have alot of things for you, just unorganized at times!

Srry if my question sounds stupid, but didn't the 2003 Monte Carlo SS's have the 3.8L supercharged? I got the same series II 3.8 in my Impala LS. Plannin to boost power up a little bit, any quick solutions? (besides turbo, can't afford :(

ran pretty good!! very powerful in the upper RPMS thanks to the HV3 gasket. I had all these mods and it wasn't even tuned!! If this car was ever tuned, Some superchargers would have been raising eyebrows!! ;)

no this downpipe came with the SLP headers 3 inch down pipe indeed!! no u bend, high flow cat, and just straight unrestricted air flow. You know this car breathed excellent. K&N air intake, ported Throttle body, removed MAF screen(with no issues) HV3 Gasket installed in the plenum (upper intake), high flow cat no resenator, SLP headers, mandrel bent exhaust & SLP mufflers, ya know true full performance exhaust from front to back! So clear you can even hear the throttle body's plate whistle @ 2K!

The back windows have stickers that came with the performance mods that I purchased: SLP & K&N. The windsheild decal is from Ebay! The chevy bowties, the little tiny flags on the window and the red bowties on the mirrors are all from pep boys or our 24 hour auto zone! The hendrix motorsports on the ground effects, ghost flames and jeff's 24's and signature are all stock. So you can easily purchase this from the dealer, well hopefully!;) If not, try ebay!

Check out my channel in a few weeks, im gonna try to get a 0-60 test of my dads monte carlo (same as yours) and a walk around. Its stock, but it doesnt have the ghost flames and a few stickers. Musta got hit in the front by the previous owner.

hey thanks I have deleted the resy and threw super 40's on there but will upgrade to magna flow cat back and possible down pipe! Torque steer?? Yes very much, but you'll get use to it and play with the steering wheel(rocking it to the left but don't oversteer!) to keep it from snatching to the right! hry its a fun car to drive.

It will be interesting to see how these once, W bodies do when rear wheel apps go on them. but really I'm awaiting my opportunity to get my hod rod (again)! I'm going with another Cutlass G body. My last toy was a 87 Cultass Supreme: 383 stroker, hooker headers, 770 street avenger holley carb, comp Roller lifter (1/4) cam, 3200 stall convertor, MSD Ignition, 3.73 rear, no cats 3 inches in diameter to the booty & super 40 flows this car was a beast but I had to step away from that for a while!

yes this is accurate, but all it is, Is the 327 motor. They simply shaved off a couple of inches (2 inches) to have fitted for the FWD applications. Now granted, I will agree, this is retarded of GM to not put it north-south, but what the hell, its my daily driven car! There tweaking rear drive with the G8 which I've seen on the streets here in ATL, U may not believe this but I've already seen the rear wheel drive Impala on a spy website, it favors a holden since this is the zeta platform.

You're engine displacement is 325 cubic inches: not 327. 96 mm bore (3.779") x 92 mm stroke (3.6220") divide the bore by 2 then square it, multiply the stroke, 3.1415 * 8 (no of cylinders) = 325 cid. Even GM says its 325 cid. Where do you come up with 327 from ?

yeah, I respect that, J98Cobra. oh & About running any better, keep in mind, we're runing on pit road at ATL Speedway(1/8 mile)! Traction issues are very inevitable. Cars with DR's hooked pretty good all nite though. Sadly this is the only nearby drag strip we have in ATL! Any other drag strip is about 1hr+!! This equals heat soaked! :(

I swear I just don't understand this! LOL!! Why do people under estimate the LS4 powered vehicles! Is it because its FWD?? please tell me this is NOT the reason! Weight?=bout the same! HP & 1/4 mile times?=BOUT THE SAME! I've seen plenty of STOCK LS4s run low 14s to high 13s!! That's no Vette, Camaro Z28, Mach 1, Viper or GT 500 quater times, but be reasonable my friend, its not exactly what you would call slow either.

Those Older Stangs are fun to play with, my slow assed Sebring stayed on the bumper of one going up GA 400 the other day and getting near 130 I started to pass him and he made the quick " brake to get off" bail out. That "Cobra" sure did look EXACTLY like a V6 Mustang w/ Polished wheels. What a laugher! A completely stock Cobra will walk off an SS. But a MODDED Cobra will blow its doors off. Get real. Look at the vid and pause it..the hood on the "Cobra" does NOT have breather holes, the rear view shows a single curved down exhaust. A.K.A. V6. Nice Try

yeah that shit was funny as hell! I was laughing all the way down the 1/8 mile! this paticular clip was test and tune he was in the pro mod division. LMAO "all aluminum" engine. You act like thats a big deal : Audi had that feature in the 1930's ,and they didnt use low-tech pushrods. However, given the history of the millions of aluminum crap engines GM has made : Corvair pancake 6, Vega 4 cylinder, Cadillac 4100, I guess having an aluminum GM motor that doesnt fall apart instantly is a big deal. As for the 3800 making the top 10 : about time, it took Buick/GM 25 + years to make it a good engine.

I have the 07 Monte SS which comes with the LS4 5.3 (327) all aluminum motor! they didn't make 3800s in any 06-07 models! Which was on "Wards best 10 engines" a couple of years ago!
