we're having some beautiful weather, I hope you're able to get out on the bike, Dorothy. I would love to get a bike too but I'm so afraid to ride it in the city because of the cars. people in cars are not always so courteous of bike riders. The mentality in Europe is much better regarding bicyclists.

I loved bike riding on my Huffy speed bike when I lived in Santa Barbara, California. But that was many miles and many years ago. Couldn't do it now with one hip replacement and osteoarthritis everywhere else. Good for you. sorry your gauge is not working.

Fancy that. I inflated my bicycle tires just last week! Spring is here and I can ride again. I can empathize with the interest thing. I hate paying interest or bank charges EVER! I avoid it whenever possible. I agree - electric pumps are not for bike tires. - roc

Dorothy, you brought up so many good points in your vlog. We don't ever know what the guy standing next to us has been through. It's hard to give of oneself when we feel all spent. Sometimes the person tries to portray an impeccable exterior to make up for what they feel they are lacking on the interior. I hope you are able to get the peace you need out of the book.

I need to get that book. I relate to the fact that many people who appear to be perfect, or have a perfect life, only project that to the outside world. Many of them have hard lives in private, over financed, living with personal demons we dont see or know about. If we could all learn to get along, support each other and not dwell on what we do or do not have , things dont make us happy. Happiness really does come from within, when you smile others around you smile, then you feel happy. Diana

I can curse with the best of them..however, I don't normally do it when I am angry with someone..when I am angry I become very quiet in speech and very direct..I hate showing someone that they have managed to upset me..cursing has become a way of life for many, doesn't mean it is appropriate but like with many things it has become accepted. Way to go Dorothy! Use that block and delete button with all due prejudice! I do the same thing. But I think in today's society "women" and "ladies" are two different things and unfortunately men don't look at today's women as being "ladies". They swear in front of you, tell dirty jokes what have you and think it's perfectly fine. It's just a sign of the times. Sad and unfortunate times I'm afraid.

Chantix is a new quit-smoking drug that is suppose to trick the brain into thinking you've just had a smoke. It's kind of expensive and insurance won't pay (how stupid is that?!); but cheaper than buying cigs. Costco or Walmart might offer it cheaper.
