Awesome vid and a great live band. Saw them several times in the early- to mid-eighties, always a great show and always played with their fans uppermost in their minds...I particularly remember Xmas Eve at the Hammersmith Palais in '82 or '83 when they were on for almost 2 1/2 hours and ended with Merry Xmas Everybody!

Great video. I saw them, once, in 1984 (maybe 85) at a much smaller venue - the Cleveland Agora (about 400 people). Hard to believe it's been almost 25 years. WOW. This is a great song and band. Thanks.

Superb live, comments about better than U2 weird. Both and Big Country gave us some serious music to listen to. I'd pay good money to The Alarm (original format) now. I wouldn't even bother about U2 even though I have seen them five times. I would rather watch The Killers and see some fresh stuff instead of arena circus. My opinion sorry if it upsets.

Drummer Nigel Twist was so ill with 'flu on the day this was shot, that he had to go home after the wide shots were taken, so Eddie Macdonald acted as his "double" and was carefully obscured for Mike's close ups. The video was shot on the roof of Central Cross House in London's West End, home of Music Box at the time, where Gaz Top (ex Alarm roadie was a presenter) hmmmm I wonder if that is the connection????? Info supplied and verified by the Alarm fan fact department.

oh my god! the music videos! I only got into them a couple of years ago because the I worked with the drummer, Nigel, when I did an internship for a summer :-p I didn't believe my boss when he told me that Nigel used to tour with U2 and the Stones, and then they showed me the pics of him in the band, and i freaked! He's a really nice guy:-)

Pimp, behave. I saw both groups at their prime. Mike Peters was being respectful. This rolls back some serious memories for me, BC supporting U2 in Nottingham and The Alarm backing The Police in Birmingham NEC. Four awesome groups in their own rights, I paid heavy money to see The Police last June and I wish I could pay a lot to see Big Country live again (for the eight time. RIP Mr Adamson, you helped shape my life, god bless you Callum.

T was introduced to The Alam when they opened for the Pretenders in Passaic, NJ. Had never heard of them prior to seeing them. so I went in with an open mind, not knowing what to expect. After a kick-ass set, I left Passaic that night as a fan of The Alarm and have been a huge fan ever since. Got to see them several times in small venues through the years. One night they played Lafayette Collenge in a raging snowstorm. Small crowd, but what a set, they played for over 3 hours.

I saw The Alarm in approx 1984 when the opened for The Pretenders in West Palm Beach area, or was it Billy Idol they opened for, in any event, they were absolutely tremendous, they were really going off in the house! I am from the states and grew up listening to almost nothing but The Alarm and Big Country. Its an utter shame how bands like U2 have been so big over here and the really talented ones weren't. I love these guys. and I'm making my first record this year and it will be heavily influenced by them!! awesome harmonies here! Thank you for posting!

So am I, I don't think race or religion comes into it. I have seen these boys so many times. I am just coming up to 44 years of age (mid life crisis,more than probably) I am loving all this again, just like Big Country.
