Later covered by Bruce...Someone should be ashamed of himself. Of course it is Bruce his song originally although he never recorded it officially on a studio album and gave it to Patti. He plays is live occasionally and that is always a big party. By the way, Fire is not by the Pointer Sisters but by Bruce too, same story. She reminds me of PJ Harvey Patti Smith was obviously the original out of them both because she was before PJ. They kinda do look like the time, but they were around long before the time. Could be the time copied them. Dazz band was sporting the more "lounge" look (that was still a popular holdover from the 70's). It's funny, cause the often-crazy disco fashion was still prevalent in the 1980's. oh ok thanks for the info. i was confused because i have seen this performance and i couldn't understand why they would really sing on a program where most performances were lip synched such as those by the marvelettes. it's interesting that the motown artists had this show at their disposal because it was right across the border from Detroit! Fascinating and convenient! And no matter what show this is, it's still a great song and great performance!

I don't mean to sound harsh, but you are wrong! This performance of the Supremes singing "Come See About Me" is from "The Bill Kennedy Show". It came on in the afternoons in Detroit when I was a kid. We use to watch it. Months later, "Teen Town" on CKLW, Ch.9 Windsor did a Motown Tribute Show with most of the artists appearing live. The Supremes could not be present, so this clip from Bill Kennedy's show was used to represent them on Teen Town. Thank you.
