yes, another example of the problems religion has caused. The jews believed that the land of palestine was theirs for the taking, as per the hebrew bible. As such, their conviction to fulfill this 'prophecy' led to their annexation of territory with an arab population of over 90% at the beginning of the 20th century. Today we see the consequences of that decision in the ongoing palestinian-israeli conflict.
