i dont know exaticaly how far away it was, man holy shit. All i know is that the light turned and i hit the brakes and couldn't stop. I didnt get hurt, or cause any damage. And considering My truck stops 40-0 on a flat dry surface without any weight in AROUND 80ft, My first instint was to hit the brakes not floor it... When you get in that situation you can do what ever you want, ok?

an f350 with the triton v10 is a gas truck and it can tow TWICE what the tundra tows. but you still don't know shit because the tundra doesn't have a fully boxed frame.

dont get over excited. the reg cab F-150s from 06-08 can tow 11,000. and the 07/08 tundra reg cab can tow 10,800. NOT 11,500

how did you add a fully boxed frame on your tundra? see now your truck you did improve dramaticaly with the frame, brakes driveshaft... but i would still take a pinto over yours or any other tundra. LOL your not going to make me change my mind when it comes to that. the only way i would drive your tundra is if you put "BIG LEMON" all over it even then i would be wishy-washy. i would never tow with it though, you have to have trust in your truck to tow and i CANNOT TRUST THE TUNDRA

cont, cont. LOL reason why i emphasize brakes is because when i was towing my boat home on a rainy day my trailer brakes went out with out me knowing. I was going around 40mph downhill to an intersection when the light turned yellow when i was about 200 feet away. with no one in front. ABS doesnt work so well in these situations i slammed on my brakes my truck locked up and i SLID into the middle of the intersection&almost got nailed by a full dump truck. Luckely he saw me and what was happening

as far as my truck. Im not after speed with a truck, i mean honestly my truck does 0-60 in around 8 maby 9 seconds. thats FINE by me. Theres also alot more that goes into how much a truck can tow, such as FRAME(tundra's C channel is just not enough in my book) axel, U joints, Ball joints, engine&tranny cooling, Engine&tranny compenents, drive shaft, gearing, differential, Tires, Brakes, etc.

Cont. They also brag about how 'American' there tundra is when its still a JAPANESE TRUCK. They beat the domestics with cars... now there trying to do it with trucks. enough is enough! those are the main reasons why I hate the tundra there are also a whole bunch of little reasons too.

my deal with the tundra is that they arent all that great yours well you invested a lot of money into the main components of your truck so that helps. But the point im trying to make is that toyota thinks that there new tundra is the best damn thing on the road and that they are indestructable. I mean just watch some tundra commercials!

the stock tundra tows 11500lbs bro i have pulled way more then that also! what your deal with the tundra man? just curious agree with the trailer brake part on any big tow and any truck can tow its the stopping thats the problem! also fords can tow i will give them that for sure they can tow like no tomorrow but they are very gutless speed wise! not dissing you bro but its the truth watch the vid of when my stock lifted 4x4 raced a fully modded 4x2 f150! with 488 gears i was stock lifted! thanks

lol thanks dude. ya i got sick of all these tundra owners TALK about how there truck CAN do work. But i will say that Ford really underestimated the towing cap. of my truck. they SAY that it can only tow 8000lbs. my boat weighs about 7000lbs and the trailer weighs around 1000-1200lbs, towing that is like a walk in the park for my truck. just, uhh, make sure your trailer brakes work ok when your towing that much lol
