Curive of Kanji is Hiragana. you misregard Katakana as Hiragana. We have two characters Hiragana and Katakana. Katakana is the characters in this video if youo wanna see hiragana you need to see another video, you have to learn both. But mainly we use hiragana and kanji when we write sentence. but you need to learn both

Im Russian and my names Erop (egor). If I wanted my name in Japanese would I then use the katakana script? Anyway just out of interest when you was a young child and you was learning the alphabet, wasn't it confusing with so many simbles to learn and chinese characters and different scripts? My mom says I had trouble learning the alphabet when I was young but mine only has 33 letters. The English alphabet only took me about half a day to learn but it only has 26 letters.

? This character which you typed is classical letter, we don't use it today though, if you read very old stories of Japan in original classical Japanese. you can see it :) If you are interested in it you can try to read.
