As Obi Wan would say, so what Vader told him was true, from a certain point of view. In the book Obi Wan said that he did fight Anakin and Anakin fell into a molten pit and when Anakin emerged from it, he was changed forever and not just physically.

Yes I know. It was to prevent people from finding out Vader's identity before the film came out. I'm just saying that it actually makes more sense that Anakin and Vader were two different people. Lucas intended this from the start, but during the course of writing "Empire" decided to make Vader and Anakin one and the same. Again if Lucas had decided Vader/Anakin were the same and Luke and Leia were twins when he made "A New Hope" we wouldn't have all these inconsistent plot points.

um this is fake. All the guy did was dub in "obi wan destroyed your father" from some other scene over this one. You can hear the sound edit, the background music totally changes, the volume level is way different, etc. etc.

This was intended to fool people but its actually more consistent with the storyline that what actually occurred. I don't believe George Lucas when he says he had a completed "master plan". Leia showed no evidence of ever being a Jedi before, she suddenly is and why didn't Vader realize that when he interrogated her? There are more examples and apparently an early script for "Empire" actually showed Vader killing Anakin. Lucas made some of it as he went along, I just wish he would admit it.

Hey, I watched the BIG documentary on the new DVD edition of the original trilogy and there they said, that in the script it was written "Obi Wan was your father", not "Obi Wan destroyed your father". What we are presented with in this vid doesn't make much sense...

I actually think "Obi-Wan destroyed your father" would've been an even bigger shock to the audience, because then it would've totally destroyed the viewer's opinion about good ol Ben.
