Whatever is going on in Pakistan(an ally of the US, and a dictatorship) should have no bearing on our foreign policy decisions re Iran ( an "enemy" and a constitutional republic). Moslem countries have different languages, histories, and even racial backgrounds. In terms of "Christian" countries--do we think of Russia and Kenya as similar?

May as well list all of the tricks; Steal someones identity and apply for OHIP. Steal someones card. Claim a child that isn't your own under your address. The method that I already listed. No hospital can DENY ANYONE service for any reason, billing becomes an obligation of treatment. Give false info, pay the fee and the bill never catches up with you. Whether it's 1 American doing it or 100, it's theft, and it diverts care from those who have paid for it.

You keep proving my point with your comments, there is a major problem with health care in border communities because people who haven't paid for the resources are stealing them. Hence, the gov't sends us across the border to deal with the problem, at least we pay for the care that we get.

You don't need to present your health card to receive medical service, you can pay a nominal fee, which Canadians get reimbursed when they submit their health card number to the hospital at a alter date. American's stealing the services can get thousands of dollars worth of treatment for a 30-50 dollar fee. call any Canadian hospital and tell them that you've lost your health card and are waiting on a replacement, this is exactly what they will tell you to do.

The only reason why I dont believe that stat. as you relay it here is because our poor get everything free via state medicaid. Its the middle class with our half assed insurance policies that get screwed. They could not be serviced in Canada because they dont have the proper card, as you would know

No darling, because I worked as part of the trauma team in the department of Orthopedic surgery and we received canadian patients en masse. Our hospital was right on the border ergo all of the Canadians transfered to our service because they needed emergent care which the Canadian gov't could not provide

27% of people treated in border community clinics and hospitals are later discovered to be US citizens, many have gone as far through the system as to receive surgery, dialysis and other procedures, all on the Canadian tax payers dime. If hospital and clinic staff suspect that resources are being stolen they MUST contact police, and be sure the accusations that they are making are correct, so they treat the individual then try to recover the money at a later date, like getting blood from stone.

There is nothing wrong with our health care other than the fact that border communities spend as much time servicing thieving Americans as they do our own and these thieves drain our already precious resources.
