I just bought a dozen puppies - I own them, they BELONG to me. They're really cute, but most of them are less grateful than I think they should be, and some even fail to obey me. So I'm gonna put them in a metal garbage can, sprinkle them with gasoline, and burn them. Not all at once, just a little every day to see how long I can keep them squealing and squirming. I'm not God so it won't be for ever, but I'll do my best... Good video, Hagrid!

Actually you are right, there are no "innocent children". We are all born under the "curse" of sin. And we as sinners killed Christ, and yet he knew this and still gave his life to save us from this curse. As God himself it is the ultimate sacrafice and demonstration of Love. Unfortunately most "choose" not to claim him as savior from this curse because of rebellion and "free will". He warns against this but too many are deceived and fall for the ultimate "lie". I remember lipsyncing to this song in front of my bedroom mirror when I was about fifteen. My expressions and gestures were very much the same. I'm now thirty and the song still makes me well up with emotion. Too bad most of XTC's other stuff was mindless pop though.

I come out of a Catolic/Neo-Pagan background. I have great respect for many Pagan beliefs, though I don't necessarily share them anymore. I'm pretty agnostic on the question of Pagan gods, just as I am truly agnostic on the subject of YHVH. You did a great job, great message in the song. I think you really fit the emotions well. ppl doubt god because they think they are smarter than others and have life figured out. I do believe and if ppl dont thats cool to, its important to me not others. One thing that really bugs me is, when ppl ask why bad happens and such, thats stupid. 1st of all we need bad to appreciate good, 2nd it is gods way of letting us know when we are doing wrong, and everything happens for a reason.
