That's the stab trim.Controls the pitch axis surface and moves it physically to help the pilots have smooth controls and not fight the yoke ;).

at the end of the landing the pilot and co-pilot are flippin switches like crazy. One of them hits a switch and down by the throttles two big disks spin out for a couple seconds... one on each side of the console like a spool. What is this?

ya but what about the closeness of the reality it has to real life aviation. The title even says its a "Simulator",, and did you know major major airlines like El Al use Flight Sim and Vatsim to give their intro pilots practice and evaluation

I'm a pilot and...although there aren't any 'feelings' of movement, or feelings of the actual control of an aircraft, it's pretty good for students (especially Instrument Ratings).

ROFL@ Marick626, he has obviously never flown in FlightSim nor, the real world. And I think it is funny that he has the audacity to call this "just a game". I fly in the real world and I find this "game" VERY VERY realistic especially with this aircraft. I also own this aircraft in real life(Sort of own it, more like my family does :)

mate look 747 pilots when there not at work they get the pmdg 747 99.9 % like the real thing and train! lots of people use this as an aid I know some guys who play this they went on a proper 737 simulator and were better than the real pilotssssss
