I know what you mean! I always listen to this song over and over. He's such a tragic character and this is such a sad song because you know that these principles he holds onto are what become his downfall.

Okay, so I was watching all the other Javerts go by and then TM goes by, and I just can't help myself, I start smiling. (I wonder what it means to have a semi-fan girl attachment to a man who's certainly interesting, but not attractive in the usual sense...I still love him though.)

Of the ones you showed, I've seen live: David Masenheimer (twice), Peter Samuel and Philip Hernandez (also twice). Masenheimer was the best of these three, but the best Javert I ever saw was Robert DuSold. People stood up and cheered after "Stars."
