i for one dont think thay should have showed as much on the news the only probles is people dont want to spend the extra money for new lock but want to make the ones thay have better a as a locksmith with only a drill and a pair of plyers can be in your house in less then ONE minute

there are a few locks you can but to be safer i am a local locksmith from vegas ans i experience these questions all day one of the locks are called medeco you can only access these key from the company in which you purchased them the pins them self are up and down plus side to side witch makes them impossible to pick and not to minchen verry hard to drill open i tried one a few weeks ago it took me two hours to get in because of the harden steel pins once again it medeco

oh and you can buy a lock which the bump key simply won't fit into. I forgot the name of them but there are locks which take different shape keys and are designed to be harder to pick since the keyhole is smaller

How are burglar alarms going to make your home safer? Unless your alarm goes off every time you unlock the front door, in which case it's probably a nuisance, the lock bumping is just as unlikely to be detected as a person unlocking the door with the correct key.

i just attended a conference where the uncrackable lock was cracked, so their solution of "buy better/more expensive locks" won't necessarily help

Lol... Do any of you realize that it isn't that easy to bump a lock? it's easier to just pick it. I'm a locksmith and it is much faster to just pick the lock. And you do realize that buying bumping keys and hammers is pointless? It's just a key cut to its deepest depth...lol
