Wow, hmm. That's the first time I've ever heard that particular opinion. Martha Henry is a classically-trained actor who has been a member of Stratford's company for decades, and at one time was co-artistic director. Currently she's director of Stratford's Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training. Her bio calls her "The First Lady of Canadian Theatre". And Paul Gross has won quite a few acting awards himself, for stage AND theatre acting. *shrugs* To each their own, I guess.
