There is no wrong answer, I feel, in the way you read the cards. If you can get an answer without using a spread, then I think that is great! :) I'll admit, that I like to use spreads for my readings because they help me keep it all together, and that is what spreads are for, to give the reader cues as to the topics they'll be covering with a paticular card. I'd be all over the spectrum without a spread. :)

I really like the way that you discussed the way that you read, but for some reason I really do not use a spread, I just keep turning a card and use my intuition and I keep turning a card until I feel the question (past present and future) has been answered.

This is someone close to this issue, this queen of swords. He said he knew who that was, so it is appropriate that she came out in my reading too. You know readings are done in good faith by the readers when a person asks several readers the same question and similar cards or conclusions are drawn. It tells me that there is more going on "energy-wise" that we humans can understand. I think that is why I love the tarot so much. It taps into that energy.

Thanks! Yes, I think that, though love is something he wants, the king of cups in reverse tells me he doesn't fully trust that need just yet. He repeats old patterns. But I also think he knows that and so will choose a different path this time. One that leads him to a more rewarding relationship for him and his partner. I sincerely wish that for him.

Thank you so much! Tying the cards together takes a bit of effort and I always worry that I might miss something, but there little I can do about it with the time alloted by You Tube, it's really short, so there's a bit of scrambling on my part to 'touch' all the cards and focus on them on a "bird's eye view" sort of method to get a result the seeker can actually use. Actually, You Tube's time limit is sort of "training" me to be more intuitive. LOL!

another great reading you are have a natural talent for reading reversed cards :) and it is weird how cards pop up, the queen of cups came up in a reading i did for Quickening. I always get the queen of swords.

In the case of a two digit figure being the sum total you can have it refer to two cards. For example a sum total of 12 would refer to the Hanged Man but also The Empress because 1+2=3 (going by the numbering of the Major Arcana in the Thoth deck at least). Hmm I actually have one Waite deck right here with which I could practise using reversed cards but it's the most hideous printing of any tarot deck Ive ever seen and I can never bring myself to use it :) Thanks again for the reading Bianca.

It wouldn't really be possible for me to use reversed cards with my Thoth deck because of the Rosy Cross on the back of the cards but I think after seeing this video I'll look out my Mythic or Waite tarot and see how I find it. It's quite strange that I adopted that sum total method considering how awful I am at maths ;) But I do find that it works very well for me and it seems such an underused method.

Great! I'm glad this was useful to you. Yes, reverse cards are very important to me. They give a whole new meaning to a spread and I see them as sort of red flags in a particular situation where energy is being blocked, where someone really needs to pay particular attention to a matter and they either don't know it or are unwilling to 'see' it. So, yeah, I think they are important and should not be ignored or turned upright. They help a great deal when they show up reversed.

You're an absolutely amazing tarot reader. I'll go over the reading in detail in my next P&R (for lack of wordcount here) but for now I'll just say that it was absolutely spot on in every way. The Queen of Cups does represent someone specific from my past. She always comes up in my readings, she came up in Janeys and now here she is in yours. I know exactly who it refers to. Thanks. Yeah, I collect Tarot decks. I just love them, though I cannot get a good reading out of all of them. The Moon Garned Tarot deck is one of them. I use it for instruction, but for readings, I really have a hard time with it. For readings I use the Nigel Jackson, the Rider, the Gita deck and I've just bought the Mythic deck. Still getting used to that one, but I think it will work.

Good vid, love your kitty, she is so sweet. I only use the Rider deck anymore, I had a deck, Tarot of the Witches, but it was far less graphic, as far as the symbols, thus making it a bit harder to read for me. This is a good idea too.
