"British Empire" refers to the Anglo-Dutch Liberal banking financial system. The old day in age "British empire." However the big difference is that instead of using their navy to control colonies, they use the monetary system imposed by Central Banks(which are owned by the rothschilds and such). So its a lot more complicated than you make it out to be, its not a group of people, but rather an IDEA that governs people. So you yourself could be promoting the empire, without even being rich.

Umm, bankruptcy receivership is not to give them anything, its to take away. As it stands the Fed gives money away(practically free) to financial institutions that partake in speculation(primarily derivatives market), so if you put them through bankruptcy, the government steps in and tells financial institutions to take a hike. Ideal would be to nationalize the fed i imagine, so that the dollar belongs to citizens, but you have to take it one step at a time.

it should be there by now but our facist, corrupt government has been holding this price down for 25 years and will do ALL it can to keep it low. I'm bullish gold, but i'm a little worried to take on the government in my investing life. Regardless, i'll keep buying on any dip under $800. Peace.

You have a valid question and people seem to forget what the purpose of money is. Money, what ever it is (dollars, gold, Yen, silver etc) is not the end in it's self. Money is a means to an end. Meaning you sir not anyone else reading it just you will have to decide what it is you want and insure you have a plan to get it when your gold can buy you that item.

I am not a 100% gold believer but just to answer some of your questions. Gold can appreciate in terms of $ because FED can print unlimited amount of money, which is what they are doing. When our creditors, foreign governments see too much amount of $s, they will seek to diversify their holdings. The best way would be gold, like what happened in 1970s. It's actually not gold that appreciate in value, just $ depreciates.

I ask myself this question all the time. If gold and silver take off are you making money or 'retaining' purchasing power. If it's the latter, exchanging for paper to make a purchase is a wash, but you've protected your wealth. If paper money becomes worthless, some may gladly take your gold in exchange for goods and/or services. If things get bad, I predicted this today: your grocery store will have 'Silver Packages'--1 silver eagle for 5lb sugar, 5lb flour, 1lb butter, etc, for example.

I am not being contrarian, but let me pose a few questions: If gold plummets and everyone and their grandmother buys gold, which will be in certificate form, just who will pay out the dividends when it skyrockets? Where is this money, which is paper-based bonds bought with real capitol, going to come from? What is the insurance policy that gold will not be treated like every other "investment"?
