The Dietitian gave me a book on diabetes and carbs read the label on all foods or get a book(choose your foods)by the American Diabetes association. measure your food add the total carbohydrates minus fiber for your carbs. my doctor wanted my AIC level to be below 7 it was 7 in may of last year when I was told I had diabetes. last check up it was 6.7 which is good.

the Doctor's did not help me at all they act like they don't know nothing they had me go to a dietitian which was the best thing for me. I had to learn how to eat right even tho I had been on many diets, even skiped meals. you can not skip meals and diabetes is run by carbs not fat I was allowed 30 carbs per meal I marked down everything I ate and read labels in the store but make sure you get that amount of carbs but don't go over. Cheer up and hang in their its great your trying to help her.

I must say that it is so awesome that you are open and that you put these videos up. I am at college and so I am not with my family. I have gone through things and I did feel alone. We must remember that God never leaves us and never forsakes us. Also, don't claim that you have to deal with the diabetes! I know people seem to think that as Christians we are supposed to be happy all the time and maybe even impervious to human feelings but we're not. I think that you were going through a lot at that point and I would feel down too. I lost both of my Grandparents in 2007 and I have been very depressed. Anyhow, I've gotten longwinded lol. Though not a Christian myself,it's always great to hear from non-judgemental Christians, I agree wholeheartedly with both women that it is best to not judge people on appearances but what is in their hearts. I have met Godly people who never went anywhere near a Church because they didn't have to. Paul was the one who was biased. He justified short hair by referring to nature. If you do look to nature, the males of most secies have the longer hair. Lassie was played by a male for taht reason. In African lions and Peacocks and many other animals the males have the longer hair, are more colorful; certainly the opposite of the point Paul was trying to make. Some scholars think Paul was bald. Perhaps he was subconsciously jealous that he couldn't have a nice head of long hair.

Perhaps you should recall that this passage is Paul addressing Rome, where the men who wore their hair long were either foreigners or male prostitutes. I agree that we shouldn't judge one another, God will judge each of us by our works someday. And whether or not we lined up to the Word of God WILL matter. Yes, times have changed, but the bible has not. It still says, in black and white, that it is a shame for a man to have long hair but that if a woman has long hair it is her glory, for it is given to her as a covering. A ladies long hair represents God's glory... A mans long hair is shamefull. Those are God's words-not mine.

I've always loved this song. And now it means more than ever. My grandmother passed away on April 1st of this year. She and my grandfather were married 59 years, she was his "Rose" like the woman the song refers to. Beside himself about her roses becoming sickly and dying (he didn't know how to care for them) he asked me to dig them up and take them home.
