PWO is on tv because of the area they are in. Not to mention, that STO is based out of Cleveland where PWO is. So, it would be easier in a sense for PWO to get a timeslot unless the Indians are playing a late game on the West Coast or have a game go into extra innings. Plus, STO only has a few programs anyways like the Bruce Drennan (I think that's his name) talking about the Browns and Indians for 30-60 minutes

I remember you telling me on Skype that CM Punk's title win meant a lot more than Joe's title win because the company actually made you care. Joe's title win was delayed so much, people stopped caring. At least with Punk, WWE made him cash in MITB at the best time they could. Yea some ppl questioned Henry as champion but I think Henry as ECW Champion was well deservant and hes the perfect man to be a top heel on a "C Brand" of WWE. I also agree with what you said about TNA. I was never a die hard TNA fan but I became a casual fan ever since they made their debut to television. Sure, there were a few familiar faces from WWE, but I was excited to see these new hungry guys put on these awesome matches and make a name for themselves (to the casual fan). Now, it's starting to remind me of that old WWE/WCW Invasion angle back in 2001. Recognized names are great but I say have faith in some home grown talent too.

At first I was a little upset with them putting Matt Hardy in ECW but now I don't mind since it's been a refreshing change of pace. I haven't watched ECW in a few weeks, but they also seem to be serious about making Morrison, Miz, Finlay & possibly Mike Knox(?) apart of their main event scene, which is a nice direction as all of these men have potential to break out and become stars in the long run on seperate brands. And kudos to Mark Henry for staying healthy and not getting injured.

It would be impossible for it to be like 95 now, because WWE is still riding the wave left by the Attitude Era. 95 did not have that. Cena was a forced push strategy by a company desperate for a star imo. Imagine the resources pumped into this guy during his invincibleness. I'd be surprised if the kids DIDNT squeal for him. However that does not mean he was worth the resources, or met expectations. Getting half booed at SSlam 05 was prob not what McMahon sought.

Cena is not on Hogan's level, and that's not a bad thing. Not many guys are. Cena is the top guy in the WWE during a time when Wrestling isn't the in thing or the hot ticket. I wouldn't call it a major down period (like 95) but the WWE isn't what it was during The Rock & Wrestling or Attitude Eras. As for Batiata. I like his character more than Cena. Thats personal preference. InRing? Hes hit or miss. Cena tends to have good matches which he wasnt in 05

Well I know wrestling is not at it's best time ever, but it is not low match quality that made me lose my interest. I guess it was just how everything has become so predictable to me.. Its hard to enjoy a movie when you know everything thats going to happen. It was not just story lines either. Little things like Face beats Heel, next week Heel will distract Face causing him to lose his semi-main event match.. Hopefully something will happen and just refresh wrestling.

I think one of the big problems with boxing is that it's thrived off of its heavyweights almost exclusively for a century, and they haven't had anybody marketable in the division since Tyson, who was a frigging psycho and ruined his career. Ali probably made the sport as hot as it ever was. Mayweather was generating some big hype but seemingly ducked the De La Hoya rematch. MMA's the wave of the future though.

My problem with DQs is that if you are doing them, for starter, they should be primarly used for TV. If TV is for build, than PPV is for resolution. So, I have to ask, what is so final about DQ? Answer: Nothing Beyond that, if you are going do DQ at PPV, make it mean something. For one, DQ at PPV should only happen on seldom. For another, when you do, have it lead to something meaningful. For example, Taker-Lesnar feud was good example of this point.

Great vid! Just b/c the friggin "disco Inferno" was in the business doesnt make him an end all be all of The buisness. Its not like danielson just pulls mma moves outta nowhere, he does them at the right time to put on awesome matches like those he had w/ nigel and aries. He's done what has been asked of him, has accomplished all that there can be, pretty much, in the indy circuit and has never demanded a thing to come to him. Your opinion. Others respond to him, and well mind you. Again, Jim Ross reported that he had a great way of connecting with the fans at his dark match at a Raw taping in California. I doubt Ross would make up such a note about an individual if they truly weren't deserving of a shot in a company like the WWE. Danielson is an uncharismatic fool on the mic, I watched his heel work on the mic on the night he took on Colt Cabana and Christian Cage in a tag match with Christopher Daniels and it sucked, someone with mic work like that deserves nowhere near the top tier of wrestling, in the ring he's boring and uncharismatic asides from some high spots.

The only thing you have that separates these men from Danielson is that they have successful on-air careers, but you avoid the examples of on-air failures that constantly get reinvited to try their hand at making it: Mabel was never really a hot prospect but yet returned on several occasions. Great Khali has a television deal and yet everyone thinks he can't wrestle - that means he's better at this craft than Danielson just for that fact alone?

Your logic is so incredibly flawed. Kofi Kingston barely has any time under his belt yet he still has a working deal within the WWE that allows him to shape his craft while getting television exposure. Brian Kendrick had almost NO in-ring experience before getting his first development deal that exposed him on television - what, these are the exceptions to the rule then?

Heh. I was right. It was 1999. And I knew he had something to do with WCW's Cruiserweight division, cause it had that whole "He's too heavy to be in the division" angle going on with him involved.
