TheGigRig - Two Rock Jet Amp Contol Demo Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 172 seconds Two-Rock are making some of the best amps in the world at the moment. Here's a demo of the Two-Rock Jet. I'm using TheGigRig to switch between channels, control the reverb and throw in and out 3 different pedals (Keeley Mod Blues driver, LovePedal Eternity and vintage Duo Fuzz) Related: demo, jet, thegigrig, two-rock Display Video Comments | Hide Video Comments | Add Comment |

TheGigRig Amp Shootout 1962 VOX AC30 Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 155 seconds Here's the VOX AC30. I do love this amp. It sounds wonderful, but as many vintage VOX fans will tell you, it's so unreliable, and as if to prove this point, as soon as I finished the session the amp developed a loud hum. So for me, the amp is a wonderful thing to have...at home. Related: ac30, amp, shootout, thegigrig, vox Display Video Comments | Hide Video Comments | Add Comment |

TheGigRig 'Wet Box' guitar signal mixer Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 174 seconds Hi Everyone. Thanks for all your help with naming this mixer. One of my pals at TheGearPage.net came up with 'Wet Box', but there were literally hundreds of suggestions. Really grateful to everyone that chimed in. All the best Daniel Steinhardt Related: delay, eternity, lovepedal, nova, thegigrig Display Video Comments | Hide Video Comments | Add Comment |

TheGigRig Amp Shootout Matchless DC30 head Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 103 seconds This amp belongs to Dave Gregory and I'm most grateful for him bringing it down. I'll be editing the clips of him playing it soon but for now here's the noise I made. It's a very special amp. It was running at half power mode using the Pro-14 to switch between the inputs (Ef86 and 12AX7). Has a great vibe to it and was loads of fun to play. TheGigRig Amp Shootout Two-Rock Jet Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 139 seconds I've been using this amp for nearly a year now and I love it. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? For me it's worth every penny. I have settled on the Two-Rock TR65 speakers in an old Bruno 212 cab which sound great. It's all been said before about this amp, it's unforgiving as this track points out but when you're on it it's the most rewarding experience. TheGigRig Dave Gregory 59 Les Paul Jr Matchless C30 Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 161 seconds Heres the man himself with an original 59 Les Paul Jr. This guitar just rocks like nothing else. Once again the Matchless really brings out the tone of this instrument, but take nothing away from the player. Dave sounds wonderful in this clip. TheGigRig 'Amp Shootout' 65Amps London Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 99 seconds This is the first of 6 amps in TheGigRig Amp Shootout. Everything is recorded live, one take, no messin. All of the music was improvised as the tone of the amp dictated. The 65 Amps London is a fantastic 18watt amp. 2 separate channels, an AC15 type EF86 input and an 18watt Marshall style 12AX7 input. It also handles pedals brilliantly. TheGigRig Amp Shootout Matchless Chieftain Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 94 seconds If all I had to do was rock out, then this is the amp I'd probably settle on. It really rocks. Handsome Dave bought this one down and we have a clip of him with his 335 in it which is completely different to the racket my Tele makes through it. Remember everything was completely made up on the spur of the moment and as soon as I played the first note through this, I had no choice...but to ROCK Related: amp, chieftain, gigrig, matchless, shootout, thegigrig Display Video Comments | Hide Video Comments | Add Comment |

TheGigRig Dave Gregory Firebird Matchless C30 Posted by: TheGigRigDaniel
Video duration: 89 seconds Dave Gregory of XTC is my favourite guitar player ever. I'm really honoured that he came down and spent the day with us. He bought his Matchless C30 head and a bunch of incredible guitars and really showed us what this amp is capable of. Here's the first clip of Dave with his 65 non reverse headstock Firebird... brace yourselves! thanks Robbie. It was so much fun, but I think this session killed the amp. It's now in desperate need of some love. That's the one drawback of the vintage gear, they sound great but can be really tempremental.

Ah, thanks man. It was a real blast. It's a 1962 Westrex Treble /6 version. It has an EF86 mod which is great. Temperamental, but wonderful

One of the best tone clips ive ever heard! I assume its an AC30/4? When the KOT kicks in..overdrive to die 4! Funny how the guitar amp hasnt really been improved in 45 years! Guess Dick Denney/Jim Marshall/Leo had a clue! Anyway for the shotout id have to rank: 1) AC-30 2) 65 London 3) DC30 4) TR Jet 5) Cheiftain

Everything on all the jams is run the TheGigRig Pro-14. I use an Anaolg Man KOT in this jam which is an absolutley wonderful pedal. The Pro-14 lets me plug directly into the amp when I'm not using pedals so everything on the floor is bypassed.
