AWESOME tutorial.. thanks alot, could do everything except make the beam (FROM THE ECLIPSE) whenever i made it (the beam) the whole animation was the beam.... (from start - to - end)... so instead of having a ball at the beginning. it was the beam... ill keep trying, maybe i didnt click the right key frame or something......... cheers man, appreciate it :).. the shake near the end was awesome

Very good rotoscoping, but u haven't rly considered lighting well so the lightsabers stand out and look fake, first of all u shud of chosen a better location because the floor is very reflective and u can see the plain sticks, u shud have duplicated the lightsaber rotated it and taken down the opacity, and the light coming off the lightsaber shud be shown on the body, for that i suggest making an adjustment layer and giving it the curves effect under colour correction

i agree with jyngrehl. For my aura fx i use a feathered mask around the actor, then i add a glow around the whole thing so the light wraps over the edges of the actor. and after that i add light streaks in front.
