well... i don't think that it's that brawl is slower anymore. nobody has hitstun anymore, so you just can't "combo" (in the strictest sense of the word). (for the record: any string of moves is a combo. if you don't dodge, and you get hit, you just got combo'd. sucks to be you.) but...i had that exact same argument with some kid about items. i told him we play tournament-style, and it's fucking fun. didn't really sit too well with him. oh well, his loss. |the kid|

I like snake very much, i've been playing with it for about two weeks. but there is something weird about the gameplay style of this guy Nes. He seems to keep using the Fair in the wrong times: if he would stick to Nair, he would've hit more... well it is only my guess... and i can imagine that playing a tough match as this one surely is would put anyone in a very tense situation! gee! i just wish i had a good enough connection to play with guys like you, like gimpyfish! very nice match! I couldnt really be a snake player, reason being is because the majority of his attacks depends on artillary, i prefer close combat which is why i use ike. You can throw grenades but most of the time people just use there shield :P but ikes moves are hard to dodge with a very handy combo :)

Ugh. Didn't like the match at all. Marth was fairly decent. But that was because Ike was making terrible calls a little after halfway the match. The Marth user still couldn't put him away even with that. That Ike, again, was making horrid calls. He wasn't using his range and was way too close to Marth during exchanges. None of them didn't use a lot of their character's strong points. And it all came down to who had the better versatility. Ike became too predicatble and paid for it dearly.

Lol, I'm your opposite dawg. I was Roy, all the way. I only played Roy and Fox. After a while I just played Roy constantly. So, In brawl I use Ike, Wolf, Pikachu, and Toonlink/Link (every once in awhile). I wouldn't mind fighting you dawg, you sound like an awesome opponent, but I can't play till I'm off punishment (>_>)

I don't say that skill isn't important. I just say skill won't do anything if you don't have luck, which the game is also about. Skill doesn't bring you anything if you don't get the right time to use the skill. You can know many sacred combos, but as long as you are not getting the chance to use it, you're screwed. And to get the chance of using combos or such, you NEED alot of luck. I know so many combos with Captain Falcon, much more then my clanmate do know with browser(it's his main), but yet he beats me, because I can't get the chance to use it. It's like poker, position is everything, same is luck.

-_- lucario-slow smashes, takes mindgames to play properly, decent airgame pokemon trainer-the 3 characters in one is good if you can fight with them all link-skill required, but he has smashes that come out pretty fast and he has pretty good projectiles and a fair airgame 3xD-if you CAN chaingrab, then why not, but if you cant then youre a fish on dry land because opponents will dodge all your hits wolf-if you cant avoid a wolf who spams smashes then you suck ass

j666 should use link's NAir & FAir more, as opposed to his laggy (yet powerful) DAir. Link's NAir is pretty udnerrated, & he has nearly one of the best FAirs in the game, especially when u use it with 'shuffling'. Also, for all u Links out there, always use his UThrow (don't 4get 2 punch the enemy b4 throwing ;P) becuz it's his strongest throw & is a launcher. Link's ZAir is also nice for canceling out midair enemies, & this is especially important against Wario, who has hi-priority aerials

Are you serious? Melee and Brawl are two different games. You have to adjust. Different Physics, Move Speeds, Prioritys, Loss of Wavedash. Some Skills can transfer over. But if you play this game like you play melee, your fucked. Give him a break, and watch some of his newer videos.
