When built in the mid 50s this was pretty much all by itself on the highest ground in the area, a perfect site to watch for Ruskie bombers inbound for Chicago. I stayed on the public street outside the gates. It was a Saturday so I guess I missed all the traffic. I do make a point of staying off railroad property. Too much danger. Video from public areas tend to make one more creative when looking for that "perfect" angle.

Do they really let you just come up here and film? The one time I turned into there I was surrounded by tractor-trailers and high-tailed it out of there.
