My uncle, Chaim Fruchter, was in Ruach. I first heard this song on the cd. Nice vid, but you messed up the "and other kosher stuff" part. It doesn't go high like "and drank shapiro's wine", it sort of wraps it up like you did at the end.

It kind of makes me wonder if this isn't like one of the beautiful songs David sang to the Lord while he was out at night with his sheep. The melody is soothing and the words are pure. Yes, this Torah scroll is definitely on the larger side, and you'd hope a righty would be lifting this Torah, since the bulk of the scroll in on the right side, since it's toward the end of the Torah, in the book of Numbers. (Hebrew scrolls and books read right to left).

The predetermined melodies are set to an ancient, sacred set of cantillation notes called Trope. There are separate Trope notes for the Five Books of Moses, the Prophets, and other books of the Bible, like Esther, Lamentations, Song of Songs etc. Each set of notes has inner meaning reflecting the "mood" of what is being chanted. Well, in the film Brokeback Mountain, Heath Ledger played a character involved in a homosexual relationship and even if he were involved in homosexuality in real life it wouldn't change my opinion of him all that much. Several of my closest friends are gay and I love them no less than if they were straight, similar to how I love my relatives and friends that aren't shomer-Shabbos no less than my friends that are shomer-Shabbos.
