j'ai vu Dessay à Marseille dans Lakmé, avec Alain Fondary; elle DANSAIT en même temps qu'elle donnait son air. Les vieux du parterre en oubliaient de tousser, l'opéra entier en oubliait de respirer, et sa voix si ténue transperçait la salle jusqu'au paradis. Inoubliable.

Beautiful and solemn--but I don't hear any bell-like ringing in her upper register. She sings it a little too "full" to me rather than letting it ring. The bell sound does come out later in the final sequence of the aria, though. And of course, loving the trademark Dessay trill.

J'ai toujours considéré cette version comme étant la MEILLEURE (voix d'une beauté inouïe, lunaire, facilité des aigus, spécialement à 5'40'', et la note finale). De plus, sa voix aussi pure et claire que du cristal convient à merveille pour imiter les clochettes. Insurpassable !
