You don't understand, then it would reflect everything outside the window, and you would lose the transparency effect.

Yes, this is a common misconception, but with a mirror, you will not recieve the illusion of the it floating if you use a mirror.
By: joenkike2006. on 20 Aug 08, 09:05:55
No...first because you won't be able to see the background.

Thats cool. Years ago I remember playing a fighting game in the arcade where the character where holograms fighting on a table. Now that is the best graphics I ever saw and that would have been back in about 1994 - Always wondered how they did it.
By: knaggs87. on 31 Jul 08, 11:58:16
the point is to be able to see through the GHOSTLY head which would have to be transparent. and mirrors arn't
By: Blogrich55. on 28 Jul 08, 17:24:33
Seems like a variation of the Pepper's Ghost illusion. It has been used to turn a woman into a gorilla in carnavals.

By: poisonarrow8. on 28 Jul 08, 11:11:35
because if people will come to the window they could see them selfs 2)the mirror will block the background think before you post imho
By: Dm3qXY. on 28 Jul 08, 06:40:17
using a mirror will let you without a background scene...
By: TerraGamerX. on 27 Jul 08, 23:18:44
A mirror would reflect too much detail (people may realize it is a TV). Plus it defeats the idea of it being transparent. You can't see through a mirror...
By: saivert. on 27 Jul 08, 15:20:35
This concept has also been used in some video game arcade machines where you have to shoot objects with a gun. The TV is flat down in the cabinet and a glass plate reflects the image.
By: shadowhunter45s. on 27 Jul 08, 13:42:33
