I feel that if he would not have died, this would've opened a great variety of parts for him. I saw The Dark Knight twice, and I feel like I needed to see it again. I could be very wrong. But I heard that, by no fault on his part, he died due to the wrong mixture of medical drugs. And that he was indeed taking a perscribed anti-depressant due to the malicous and dark nature of his character (which is known to happen to actors) as well as a sleeping pill. Overall the two drugs don't mix well at all. Again, I could be very wrong.

As haunting and as much as a cinematic masterpiece as this movie was I still didn't enjoy it as much as I could have because of Ledger's tragic, untimely death...it's not fair that celebrities like Amy Winehouse fool around with drugs whereas a talented young actor full of life and star potential dies from one little accidental overdose. It is a shame but at least he will live on in his fantastic performance in TDK and his oscar will symbolize his greatness as an actor and a person.

What the f..ck?? Actor is an actor. It's his work. I admit, that Heath Ledger played Joker incredible but that's it. We got used to hollywood movies where the actors play over and over same roles. When i see angelina jolie, matt damon or michael whalberg in 2-3 movies a year, it makes me sick and poke. Good characterisation makes Joker perfect. Also Ledger played Joker a little like Nicholson and little like himself. This is brilliant, but every actor should do that.

I was not a huge fan of Heath ledgers, I didnt dislike him, but I thought it was a bad choice for the joker, UNTILL i saw the movie. I thought he was brilliant, and oscar worthy, not because he died, but for his acting in the movie, it was perfect.

Well Voldemort is evil and has the tools by all means to defeat the Joker, but the Joker has one major advantage. He has no goals and nothing to lose. Where as Voldemort wants to rule and conquer. That is Voldemort's weakness. Once you have something to lose it can be exploited. The Joker on the other hand (Alfred says it best) "Just wants to watch the world burn."
