when i try to type the numbers in the nav frequency box, it will only let me put the numbers after the decimal in, so I use boeing. it is so much simpler! haha

When the plane reaches, switch off the ALT, and turn NAV (from GPS) to catch the Localizer (ILS). IF your plane flies over, maybe its because the plane is not flying straight into the runway or simply flying too high. If you have any particular question or experiences, I am more than happy to know about. Regards

I have tried many tutorial videos, but not quite working. So tried many possibilities. Final approach Make sure that the right ALT on the edge of "green line" (ILS localizer), beep sound does absolutely NOTHING from what I have experienced, nor DME or other things for the ILS landing. You can know the right ALT on the check list (this is why the extra WP on the edge), try to fly at the WP whatever ALT showed on the check list (normally 2600-2800ft above the runway - not sea level)

4: ALT and SPD can be set differently by clicking the icons. 5: when the destination is nearby, try to descend by lowering ALT and SPD, set up the fraps, etc etc 6: for using ILS approach, need to set up the ILS frequency which is shift +2 (or ctrl cannot remember) and set up the frequency and switch NAV1 and 2 (not sure if I really have to) and the Course (CRS knob). Both you can find on the flight planner.

Hi!! OK I write down how I normally manage FSX default A321 flight 1: AP button is on AND GSP button which makes the plane flies exactly on the route which I modify in flight planner (set up before flight) 2: When I set up any flight planner, try to make it to straight into the runway WP on the edge of "green line" which indicates ILS Localizer (this is just for knowing the right ALT before switching from GSP to NAV) 3: Switch on AP button and make sure that GSP mode (then autopilot)

oh yh thanks, so when i take off, i wait untill im at the right altitude then i switch on nav and loc at the same time, and also turn off the alt. Then the autopilot will land by itself? plz tell me if im wrong

Yeah LOC = Localizer and this case ILS localizer which you can see on the GSP screen (or on the flight plan). Holding Altitude until the WP (I do this just to know what altitude the plane should be flying before approaching ILS localizer), this is to manage the entire flight with autopilot.

I dont understand, you wright, you need to use the LOC to intersect th green line, but you also say you need to hold approach when you intersect the green line. What do you mean by green line, is it the line on the flight planner, or is it the spae that gets smaller the closer you come to the runway? And could you plaese tell me what to use in order. LOC or APPROACH. thanks...

Nice quick, very basic tutorial. The only thing, and I see it with other ILS tutorials, is you don't have to turn off the Alt Hold button. Once you capture the Glideslope, the AP will turn it off for you.

Hi, to make sure that the aircraft lines up with the runway, autopilot until then (basically upto the ILS signal - green line, with GPS autopilot). You can set up with the flight planner before or during the flight manually but the plane just flies exactly your flight plan - GPS navigation. This way, 100% autopilot.

Great point!! CTRL + V fly on level (or LVL) After tried that even without autopilot, I have come up with the conclusion: default A321 does NOT support LVL. FSX has many strange features without any proper manual. In real world, Airbus autopilot really means "auto", this concept difference from Boeing aircrafts has caused some human error accidents.

Nice video... but I have a question: how can I turn off the autopilot-function that the wings are horizontal in the A 321? With the B 737-800, I just have to push CTRL + V but in the A 321, this doesn't work! I want to have the autopilot activated (speed, altitude, climbing rate) but only the wings NOT horizontal! How can I do it? Or is this not possible in A 321?
