Well they both have their waves of skill. Nas brought lyrics back this year with this album although Mega's latest lyrics are sorta Dipsettish. In the early 2000's Cormega was clearly better although he couldnt touch Nas back in the mid 90's and that is clear in all tracks they did together and "The Testament". The testament sounds alot like left over beats from "It was Written". But anyway to sum up they are almost even in their primes. Pit some of Nas Illmatic lines against some "The Realness"

Dude that is not true Cormega was in prison the only person who wrote Illmatic is Nas and that is it.Plus as someone earlier mention Cormega was released in 95.

i wouldent say Cormega is no wear near on nas's level, hes pretty damn close...But Illmatic being one of the greatest hip hop albums ever, The Realness was also a great album but yeah Cormega will always be #2 to Nas...But Cormega is definitly in my top 15 greatest rappers ever!!!
