Who's Ollie Yokenin? If you're talking about Olli Jokinen, then yes they traded him away. But, to be fair...he was no where close to being the same player he's been the past few years. There's no defending the Luongo and Bertuzzi trades.. The Rain-juzz were the ones who splurged on Crackhead Theo, Concussed Lindros, Pavel Bure and Bobby Holik to name a few. Consistently finishing in the bottom of the Atlantic with the highest pay roll in the NHL isn't really an accomplishment.

Her point, and mine, is that the Isles were the greatest of the great. Period. Can't be ignored and it was incredible how that team kept working out Cup victories. But there's no way I or any NHL fan could argue the second, well written, comment you made in response. I'm Isles all the way but one can't deny facts. Enjoy the victories because there will be few and far between. You used a typical knee-jerk reaction Islanders fans use when their constant ineptitude on the ice and in the front office is brought up. Stop bringing up Stanley Cups. It is irrelevant to the current status of the islanders. They are a franchise on the brink of relocation and their paltry attendance numbers support it. It's a shame you never got to see the Dynasty in action. They were very good teams.

Isles are a joke to the NHL. Nobody wants to play there, and nobody goes to the games unless the Rangers are playing. They haven't won a playoff series in 15 years, and I can't see them winning one in the next 15. They can talk all the tradition they want. Sweetie your video is cute at best. But why not take the same amount of time and effort to build up the Rangers instead of being so miserable about other teams? I was like 5 when the Islanders made their mark in Cup history. But it's simply unforgettable what they did! They've accomplished more than the Rangers. About the majority factor: If the Isles fans are so few- I'd say that makes us great becasue we stick to our team, not caring about going along with the crowd. Aloha!
