It does hurt, or at least you can definately tell that you've landed hard - but because they're trained to do break falls, they can spread the impact across a larger surface area so nothing gets damaged...it is impressive that they can land on their front and not even be remotely winded though.

there is no more emphasis on either the martial or art aspects. There should be a balance. As for these guys: fast? yes even I have to admit that. strong? hard to say. cause although they can lift each other off the ground, I can do that to others guys heavier than me and I'm missing an arm (well, half of one). besides, you don't need to be physically stronger than your opponent to beat them. In all honesty, martial arts is fighting dirty, we just look cool doing it lol.

well, it (they?) is (are?) called martial ARTS. and sure those moves aren't exactly the most sensible to use in an actual fight, but come on- imagine how incredibly fast and strong they must be. with that level or physical fitness, even if this is their style and an actual opponent of theirs does some other, nitty-gritty, "dirty," tough fighting style, i'm sure they'd kick some major ass. also, this stuff is INCREDIBLE.

How do you know what THIS is? Clearly it's a technique that's more about the way it looks than creating any illusion of a real fight. Not my thing, but pretty to look at. I'm a dancer and a stage combatant, so I know there's definitely a difference. This is clearly more about form and art than about realism. There's a place for that.
