You've contradicted yourself - you suggest that "most" of that stuff is available through forms and lawyers, and then assert that it's completely equal. Unless all 1138 benefits of marriage (yes, that's how many there are ... google it) are easily accessible through a single legal action (in this case, marriage) then it's not equal. Period. Most of that stuff consists of filing papers and forms, not a expensive drawn out process. It may take time to get documents ready like a will, but they are usually worth it and informative. The Republicans passed the best candidate. He is more logical, not an ideolog, and seemingly honest, in his opinions. Even if his views are not the same as yours, you can respect him. I hope Huckabee runs in 2012. His FairTax support should even split the black vote. You'd have to be insane not to vote for getting rid of the IRS and having a simpler, easier tax system. No forms to fill out, no returns to prepare. Every American household gets a check every month to cover taxes on all basic necessities up to the poverty level, so it completely un-taxes the poor. Plus, he's a good man.
