And finally being reunited with sorta his mother after TWO MILLENNIA, only to lose her FOREVER that day. But other than those, no dark moments at all!

This movie is notable for being the last one to show Manhattan in the relatively near, and, towards the end, the far distant future (over 2,000 years), with the World Trade Center Twin Towers still existing (albeit somewhat the worse for wear). In reality, the Towers didn't even last six months past the release of this movie. :-( The original Spider-Man also had a WTC Twin Towers scene, but it was cut before release because 9/11 happened in the interim.

I saw this movie around the same time you did, however...I haven't seen it since. I've always loved this movie. I sympathized for David, especially when his brother came back...and when he found another David in some office. "I'M DAVID!"...it hit me hard

i saw this movie wen i was VERY little. like around 7? i didn't get it at all. but i thought it was cool becuz of all teh robots. i rewatched it at the age of 14 (currently) and found it soooooo meaningfull and touching. i knew steven spielberg was great but like..... this movie was just so crazy in visuals,story, and meaning. very few movies these days have a deep and valuable meaning to it

If Global warming (or should I say when it happens?) will rise sea levels by 252 making the Statue Of Liberty have her head just about above the new sea level. I think in this film the new sea level was 300 feet. This is still a good film, though.
